Lead community engagement initiatives as the Park Stewardship Program Lead for the City of Edmonton. This role focuses on fostering public interaction with parks and green spaces. As a Recreation Officer 1, you will plan, deliver, and assess stewardship programs that promote care and use of parks.

Engage with residents and local organizations to create a team-oriented setting while overseeing program budgets and team mentorship. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing community connectedness and environmental awareness. Key Responsibilities:
Design and improve park stewardship initiatives and community gardens
Track and manage program budgets for efficiency
Engage local communities and gather input for enhancements
Develop communications to promote park activities
Administer grant applications and oversee teams Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or similar
Minimum three years in park operations or community recreation
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License needed
Current Standard First Aid certification with CPR-C required
