We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with older adults and would like to develop a consistent, long-term relationship with one person.The ideal person will be comfortable moving naturally between helping around the home, spending time together and accompanying her to activities and outings in the community.The RoleResponsibilities will include:Light housekeeping and general tidyingLaundry and changing beddingGrocery shopping and occasional errandsAccompanying her to appointmentsDriving/accompanying her to recreational activities, including snookerGardening together and assisting with light garden activitiesCoffee, lunch and other social outingsOccasional meal preparationConversation and companionshipSupporting familiar routines, activities and interestsOur goal is to provide a little extra support while helping her remain active, socially engaged and as independent as possible.Who We're Looking ForYou are warm, patient, trustworthy and reliable. You enjoy conversation and spending time with older adults and are equally comfortable helping with laundry, heading to the garden, going shopping or accompanying someone on an outing.Experience supporting older adults is preferred.Experience or education as an HCA, home-support worker, nurse, recreation-therapy worker, occupational-therapy assistant or similar role would be an asset, but the right personality,
