Interior Health is seeking an Experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist for a full time role in Merritt, B.C. This position is pivotal in delivering effective laboratory services and patient-centric care.

Located at Nicola Valley Hospital, you'll be engaging in both routine and complex laboratory tests under general supervision. Your role will encompass patient interaction, specimen collection, data entry into the Laboratory Information System, and validation of test results. Committed professionals will also engage in training programs to further develop skills in various lab sections like transfusion medicine and cytology.

Key Responsibilities:



• Execute manual and automated laboratory testing procedures • Collect and receive patient specimens with care • Accurately input data into laboratory systems • Maintain laboratory instruments following safety guidelines • Attend departmental training to enhance laboratory skills

Requirements: • Graduated from an accredited Medical Laboratory Science Program • Registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science • At least one year of relevant experience • Passage of a recognized competency assessment • Focus on quality care and patient interaction
