Serve families in need as a Family Support Worker at McMan Calgary & Area. This contract role focuses on providing essential in-home support, counselling, and referrals to at-risk families. You will play a pivotal role in the Family Development Program, conducting home visits and collaborating with families to establish goals.
The ideal candidate will possess solid crisis management skills and a commitment to empowering individuals. Your experience with culturally diverse populations and complex family dynamics will ensure meaningful support. Key Responsibilities:
Provide supportive counselling and goal planning in home visits
Advocate for families needing community services
Document interactions in electronic systems effectively
Perform assessments and utilize assessment tools
Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours support Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or similar
At least three years in family support roles
Proficiency in child development knowledge
Familiarity with domestic violence and mental health challenges
