Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and preparation, particularly within the restaurant and food industry. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity in meal preparation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Sushi Maker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests through the art of sushi crafting.

Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Help train new kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.




Stay updated on current trends in sushi making and Japanese cuisine to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with sushi-making techniques are highly desirable.
A passion for culinary arts, particularly Japanese cuisine, is essential.
Robust communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
