Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
Minimum 1 year of relevant Canadian food service, cooking, or dietary aide experience (required)
Valid Food Handler Certificate (required)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: November 30, 2026, with possibility of extension
Ability to work in a healthcare food service workplace and follow food safety and sanitation standards

Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:
Cook/Dietary Aides are responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with healthcare facility standards and food safety requirements. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Prepare, portion, and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary requirements
Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is handled, stored, and prepared safely
Follow resident and patient dietary restrictions, allergies, and special meal requirements
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, food preparation, and dining areas
Complete dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and other dietary service duties as required

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift,



with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:
1 year of relevant Canadian cooking, food service, or dietary aide experience (required)
Valid Food Handler Certificate (required)
Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, long-term care, or institutional food service setting is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail when preparing meals and following dietary requirements

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Robust attention to detail for food preparation, portioning, and food safety
Compassion and respect when supporting patients, residents, and their families
