Overview
We are seeking an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to join our team in Ottawa/Gatineau. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in appliance repair, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of household appliances, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair a wide range of household appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers
Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to identify issues accurately
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal appliance performance
Install, assemble, and test repaired appliances to meet company standards
Provide outstanding customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all repair activities
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service appointments
Requirements
Proven experience in appliance repair or related technical fields preferred
Robust electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
Mechanical knowledge related to appliance components and systems
Familiarity with HVAC systems and assembly processes is a plus
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to troubleshoot complex problems using technical manuals and schematics
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
