Position: Housekeeping / Laundry Aide

Position type: Casual

Location: Yarmouth Heights, Yarmouth, NS

Schedule: Days, Weekends, Evenings, Holidays

Responsibilities:
Housekeeping duties include cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, washrooms and offices, floor care, using industrial chemicals.
Working independently and as part of team.
Interacting with residents.
Working in laundry sorting, washing, drying and folding clothing and linen.
Labelling resident clothing.

Qualifications:




Grade 12 education or non-academic equivalent (to be determined/assessed by service provider).
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.
Valuable oral and written communication skills.
The ability to work required shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Must have sound interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
Compassion, integrity, maturity, respect and a positive attitude are essential attributes.
Previous experience in long term care in housekeeping and laundry an asset.
