Duties
Prepare and assemble sushi and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety regulations
Cook various menu items, including rice, tempura, and other accompaniments, maintaining high quality and consistency
Serve customers efficiently at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive food service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace




Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Follow all food industry safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure customer safety

Qualifications
Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in sushi or Japanese cuisine preferred
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly with attention to detail
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and positive interactions
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards
Kitchen experience including use of knives, sushi rolling tools, fryers, grills, and other culinary equipment
Demonstrated commitment to food safety practices and cleanliness standards
