Metro Machine Works is looking for a B Pressure Welder to do weld repair.

Metro is a family-owned machining business located in Calgary (SE). At Metro, you’ll be a valued member of our small team – not just a number. Our job shop focuses on repair, rebuilding and manufacturing. Every job is different, which makes the work interesting!

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG or ARC)
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Requirements:
Hold a valid Alberta B Pressure Welder Certificate and pass a shop “B” Pressure weld test
Familiarity with different types of metals and alloys




High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently or as part of a teamThis position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing workplace requiring precision craftsmanship and safety awareness.
