Role Overview

The Groundsman plays a vital role in supporting our climbers and equipment operators during daily tree care operations. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, values teamwork, and wants to build a career in the tree care industry.

Key Responsibilities
Assist climbers and crew leaders with tree removals, pruning, and clean-up.
Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, and stump grinders (training provided).
Handle ropes, rigging, and ground operations safely and efficiently.
Load, move, and chip brush, branches, and logs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.




Communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth and protected workflow.
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fueling, sharpening, cleaning).

Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in landscaping, forestry, or outdoor labor is an asset (not required—training provided).
Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working with tools and machinery in a protected manner.
Solid teamwork, communication, and work ethic.
Safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Chainsaw Safety, Fall Protection) are an asset, but not mandatory at hiring.
