Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers. We are continually developing current and creative designs for our customers across Canada and have won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since 1948.

We are looking for a permanent, full-time Production Engineer to join our team at our Saskatoon location.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Key accountabilities include:

· Complete daily paperwork including engineering change orders, drawing releases, and product change requests

· Support production by interpreting drawings, interface with others to provide answers and solutions, perform quality control on incoming and fabricated parts, and resolve non-conformances

· Inspect jigs and fixtures for wear and operation, coordinate repairs and request jig updates

· Review and inspect jigged items to ensure parts are to print, and provide internal and external reports on your findings

· Learn, understand, and use company procedures, engineering standards and design tools such as SolidWorks, ERP, etc.





· Share your ideas to contribute to process improvements and show initiative by offering suggestions on ways to improve product design and enhance manufacturability

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with a sense of curiosity

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work within a team and individually

· A problem-solving mindset

· Willingness to learn and gain experience and knowledge in the transportation industry and in the company’s various product lines

· First-hand knowledge of the transportation industry and experience with hydraulic systems is an asset

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

· An Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma from a recognized school along with additional training in mechanical design, computers, and CAD software

· Engineers should be eligible to register with APEGS; technologists should be eligible to register with SASTT

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
