Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating CNC lathes. This role involves fabricating precision parts according to specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining equipment for optimal performance. FANUC and FAGOR control experience is preferred. Lifting of workpieces up to 50lbs.
Duties
Operate CNC lathe machines to produce components as per technical drawings and specifications.
Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool changes and offsets.
Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to determine machining operations.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy of finished products.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
Proficiency in operating Fanuc and Fagor CNC controls and programming.
Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting designs and creating machining programs.
Experience with lathe operations and fabrication techniques.
Competence in using power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read blueprints accurately for precise manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of milling machines is an advantage but not required.
