Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Part time Accountant on contract with at least 5 years accounting experience preferably in the commercial real estate industry to work in downtown office with our small business . The ideal candidate will have a solid background in full cycle accounting, with experience in Quickbooks and preferably with knowledge in managing receivables and collections of commercial tenants. Candidate should possess good communication skills to interact with our tenants. Days are flexible but must be Monday to Friday. Accountants working on contract are best suited for this type of work schedule as work load varies throughout the year . Hours per week will vary depending on year end schedule and tax season. Only individuals seeking part time work should apply.

Duties
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting principles
Analyze accounts receivable and manage collections to optimize cash flow.
UtilizeQuickbooks accounting software
Manage commercial tenant accounting, receivables and collections




Perform account analysis on property management reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Experience
Proven minimum 5 year experience in accounting with real estate accounting experience. A degree in accounting or CGA is required.
Experience preparing Canadian and US financial statements is highly desirable
Proficiency in accounting Quickbooks software is necessary .
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills necessary to interact with our tenants

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
