Join our family run marina as a Marine Mechanic, where you will be maintaining, repairing, a variety of boats/motors/trailers. Your expertise will ensure that boats operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on various marine engines, propulsion systems, and related equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques, then develop effective repair strategies
Disassemble, repair, replace, or overhaul mechanical components such as pumps, gearboxes, and fuel systems
Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs with precision and safety in mind
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems quickly and efficiently




Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations to promote a safe working workplace

Skills
Robust mechanical knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, and related machinery
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and socket sets
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities
Commitment to safety procedures and environmental compliance at all times
