About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Blanchard Grinder to join a busy manufacturing environment in Waterdown. This is a great prospect for a mechanically inclined individual with experience operating grinding equipment who takes pride in producing accurate, quality work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a Blanchard grinder to grind and finish metal components according to specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:
Set up and operate Blanchard grinding equipment safely and efficiently
Grind metal components to specified dimensions and tolerances
Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and specifications
Measure finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Make adjustments to machine settings as required
Load and unload materials and finished components




Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work effectively as part of a production team

What We're Looking For:
Previous experience operating a Blanchard grinder or similar grinding equipment
Robust understanding of machining and metalworking processes
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift and handle materials as required
Reliable attendance and a robust work ethic
Commitment to workplace safety
