You will handle elective surgery, manage acute surgical emergencies, and help develop the service further. Your duties will also involve training junior staff and fulfilling necessary administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide elective General Surgical Services efficiently
Manage Acute Surgical Emergencies promptly
Train and assess junior surgical staff
Participate in the administrative duties of the position
Contribute to the education of medical students and trainee surgeons
Requirements:
Broad surgical training with full GMC registration
Evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to CCT
Non-UK applicants must show equivalent training
Commitment to train and educate future surgeons
Participate in on-call rota on a rotational basis
