Job summary The Production Manager at Woodtone is responsible for effective resource utilization and the execution and quality of products to build plans, schedules and standards.
Working closely with their direct supervisors and our safety and continuous improvement teams, this position oversees production, labour needs and utilization, quality control, efficiency, inventory controls and machine capacity planning. With a staff of 25-40 people, Woodtone Production Managers are process driven and highly effective people leaders, exemplifying the company values through their actions and decisions and in turn mentoring desired behaviours & actions with their people. Full responsibility and accountability to operational performance under S-P-Q-R-C (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost). As the Production Manager, you will exemplify the Woodtone Values of Relationships, Empathy, Beauty, Supportive Leadership and Craftsmanship Mindset through being Passionate, Confident, Caring, Genuine, Driven and Principled.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure workplace and our people are adhering to safe work practices that align with the Company safety initiatives and policies.
Actively and visibly demonstrate your support and participation in Company safety policies.
Responsible for successful execution in meeting quality standards, customer ship dates and build plans for MTO and MTS.
Develop clear and visible production plans/schedules from master scheduling in conjunction with those in planning, inventory, logistics and sales.
Assign well-defined responsibilities and authorities and promotes coordination and cooperation through clear lines of communication.
Manage capacity & utilization planning with machines, methods, and people.
