Engage in meaningful recovery work as a Behavioural Health Navigator with Beccarian Correctional Care. This Calgary-based position is centered on helping inmates overcome substance use disorders through community engagement.
As a Behavioural Health Navigator within the Therapeutic Living Units, you will play a pivotal role in guiding members on their recovery journey. This position entails collaborating with individuals to implement personalized treatment plans, while actively fostering a supportive and educational community atmosphere. Your meaningful interactions will enhance the rehabilitation process and support various therapeutic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor members through structured and therapeutic activities
• Assist in program facilitation and community-building tasks
• Participate in clinical reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain ethical and qualified boundaries with all members
• Supervise and support training of current staff and program participants
Requirements:
• At least three years of relevant counselling experience
• Addiction certification would be an asset
• Knowledge of substance use and mental health topics
• Effective communication and group presentation skills
• Experience supporting diverse communities and correctional populations
