Contribute to community health as an Outreach Van Driver at Boyle Street Community Services. This role involves hands-on support for individuals experiencing poverty while delivering vital services in Edmonton.
You will collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure productive delivery of harm reduction supplies and foster connections with healthcare and mental health services. With your human-centered approach, you play a crucial role in advocating for those in need, facilitating safer lifestyles, and addressing health-related concerns within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Distribute harm reduction supplies in office in Edmonton
• Conduct surveys in key poverty areas
• Implement conflict de-escalation techniques
• Support individuals in achieving better health outcomes
• Educate community on protected practices and health issues
Requirements:
• Class 5 Non GDL license with clean driving history
• Current Police and Vulnerable Sector Checks
• Valid First Aid certification or in course
• Involvement in community outreach efforts
• Excellent communication and empathetic skills
