Make a difference in patient care as a Care Team Assistant at Nova Scotia Health in Valley Regional Hospital. Provide essential support to patients while collaborating with experienced health professionals.

In this 75-hour bi-weekly role, you will work in the OPWZ Medical B Stroke Unit. Your duties include aiding patients with their daily activities and offering crucial support in their care plans. You will also assist in family education while working alongside regulated professionals, ensuring high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patients’ activities of daily living
• Provide direct care in collaboration with health professionals
• Aid family teaching according to established guidelines




• Document patient progress and care plan adherence
• Maintain a supportive and secure workplace for patients

Requirements:
• Certification in Continuing Care Assistant Program
• Active registration with the CCA Registry
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Proficiency in French considered a plus
