ironworker helper
Location: 34224 Cedar Avenue Abbotsford, BC V2S 2W2
Work location: On site
Salary: $ 30.00 HOUR hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent employment Full time
Schedule: Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible schedule
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Responsibilities
Load, unload and transport construction materials
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
Pave and rake asphalt
Clean and pile salvaged materials
Perform routine maintenance work
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Qualifications
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Valid driver's licence
Rapid-paced setting, work under pressure, physically demanding




Tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, sitting
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) or More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Uniform, Cellular phone, Ear plugs, Safety vest, Rain gear
