Become a Right to Play Coordinator at Inuuqatigiit Centre, focused on community mentorship for Inuit youth. This part-time role involves program planning and delivering play-based activities to foster leadership skills.
You'll work under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-being, collaborating with community and educational institutions. This position aims to empower children and youth, having them engage in culturally-driven programming. Availability for non-standard hours and limited travel is required for training and events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with schools for program delivery
• Create programming schedules based on youth interests
• Facilitate discussions for assessing program outcomes
• Manage logistical planning for community events
• Ensure youth participation in program design
Requirements:
• Community College diploma in relevant fields
• 1-2 years of community or youth program experience
• Robust understanding of Indigenous culture
• Proficient in data collection and reporting
• Ability to lead groups and manage events
