You will interface with carriers/vendors and client teams, help prepare client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and communication skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.You will also be on a forefront of change in a dynamic and quick paced environment as we enhance existing processes and support Health and Benefits’ rapid growth objectives.Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.The RoleIs an active member on multiple employer client teams providing project management, financial analyses, outputs and client deliverables across a regionProvides direction on benefit plan analysis, design, cost avoidance, risk and funding strategiesContributes to carrier/vendor financial reviews for clientsCompletes and/or reviews technical & consulting accuracy on client projects, including but not limited to developing pricing and employee contributions strategies,
modelling plan design alternatives and calculating reservesConducts and/or delivers accurate and reliable claim reporting and financial modeling to client teams to support client decisionsPartners with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to review work and deliver superior project managementUnderstands client’s needs and can identify products and services to support needsUnderstanding of, and ability to, effectively articulate carrier specific strengths and weaknessesIdentify target carriers/vendors and design/distribute bid requests (RFP); manage follow-up questions/request from the carriers/vendorsCollect, summarize and analyze proposal findings; make recommendations for finalist carriersManage placement (renewal/marketing) deliverables for WTW clients with a strict adherence to stated deadlinesSupport communication efforts to clients (renewal / stewardship meetings, etc.) relative to placementCommunicates complex financial results to effectively drive client actionBuild strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsOngoing support of Finance, Operations and Global Delivery Centres,
providing directions for revenue recognition and ensuring accurate attribution of all funds received.Development and ongoing support of enhanced internal and external reportingCommunication with external teams and WTW teams to obtain needed documentation to ensure commission payments are processed timely and accurately.Other special projects and initiatives as they ariseQualificationsQualifications5+ years’ experience in professional services, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or underwriting / actuarial function of an insurance companyIntermediate/advanced knowledge of health and benefits products & services, underwriting and funding concepts, big data analytics techniquesStrong analytical, creative and integrative skills with the ability to identify and resolve issuesProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budgetStrong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely mannerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProactive self-starter attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team with a goal-oriented mindsetExceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.Effective team player with strong collaboration skillsAbility to direct work of more junior colleagues and provide feedbackExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPointProvincial Life and Health license required within 180 days of joiningRelevant experience and/or university degreeArtificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used in the process to screen, assess, or select applicants for a position but all final decisions and determinations are made exclusively by authorized human personnel.This job posting is an advertisement for an existing vacancy.Equal Opportunity Employer
