The Account Associate Group serves a unique and dynamic role that is based around the core responsibility of servicing PIMCO's institutional clients. The individuals that make up this team work within the broader Account Management group to ensure delivery of the highest level of service to clients. The primary responsibility of the associates and analysts is to work alongside account managers as part of dedicated relationship teams, gathering, analyzing, and discussing economic and fixed income trends, evaluating portfolio structures and strategies, and delivering performance attribution analyses. In addition to traditional client management responsibilities, this role plays a key part in advancing the team's data, technology, and AI capabilities. The successful candidate will help identify, implement,
and scale technology-enabled solutions that enhance client coverage, improve productivity, streamline workflows, and strengthen decision-making across the Canadian Institutional business. Client Management Gather, analyze, and discuss market trends, economic developments, and portfolio positioning with colleagues and clients Analyze portfolio characteristics and performance within the context of broader investment themes Create customized client reports and respond to client and consultant inquiries Draft presentations, briefing materials, and client-facing content Analytics & Business Intelligence Assist in building scalable reporting and knowledge resources to improve team efficiency and decision-making Support the development and enhancement of analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting processes used by the Canadian Institutional team Leverage data to identify client trends, business opportunities,
and workflow improvements Technology & AI Enablement Support the implementation and adoption of AI-enabled tools and technology solutions across the Canadian Institutional team Translate business needs into practical AI use cases, templates, workflows, and automation opportunities Participate in testing, refinement, and deployment of productivity-enhancing solutions such as meeting preparation tools, content generation, client intelligence, and reporting automation Gather user feedback and help drive continuous improvement across technology initiatives Promote best practices and contribute to building technology and AI fluency within the team Continuous Improvement & Coordination Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness Coordinate projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across global teams Document processes, maintain best-practice resources, and support change management efforts Assist with training sessions and user enablement activities related to new tools, processes, and technology initiatives Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or minor) in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience with coding/technical skills 2 -6 years of relevant experience in financial services, asset management, investment banking, or a management consulting Strong interest in AI applications in financial services (hands-on experience a plus, not required). Knowledge of and interest in the financial markets, fixed income, and portfolio management techniques Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and in coding/querying languages such as Python and SQL Comfortable writing, owning, and debug
