Job Details Salary Range: $78,345 to $116,459 Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day Primary Location: Edmonton Secondary Locations: Calgary Union: Exempt FTE: 1.0 Status: Permanent Hybrid/Multi-site About the Role Reporting to the Manager, Interprofessional Practice, the Practice Lead, Concurrent Care (PL-CC), provides, functional supervision to an assigned group of health-care professionals to ensure clinical competency, skill development, functional alignment and support of the integration of their clinical discipline across CASA's programs. The PL-CC practices according to the code of ethics and practice standards of their specific discipline and supports scopes of practice and codes of ethics of other disciplines represented on their delegated team. The Practice Lead incorporates evidence-informed, best practice models into clinical practice, and ensures clinical care remains consistent with CASA policies, procedures and standards of practice. The PL-CC will also play a key role in developing and implementing standards of practices, growth of the Integrated Concurrent Care service, electronic medical record practices and training, and accreditation activities. The Practice Lead, Concurrent Care will:Support the delivery of high-quality clinical services by providing competency assessments, coaching, mentoring and clinical supervision to members of the assigned clinical discipline. Ensure a holistic and high-quality model of assessment and treatment planning that is family-centred, trauma-informed and inclusive of biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors for patients and families. Participate in recruitment, onboarding,



performance management and off-boarding of employees under the assigned clinical discipline. Inform and train staff on CASA policy and practice regarding admission, discharge, data collection and clinical documentation related to the assigned clinical discipline. Develop and maintain a competency framework for the assigned team including:Identifying core skills. Developing and updating clinical program descriptions, clinical policies and relevant procedures based on evidence, standards of care and relevant legislation and acts. Support equipment, clinical tools, testing material and other clinical supply sourcing and procurement as required for the assigned program. Provide leadership by identifying patient safety issues and initiating corrective action in consultation with staff. Identify service delivery improvements and suggest enhancements with the lens of evidence-informed practice and CASA's strategic and operational plans. Support internal pathway development and maintenance. Regularly work with the assigned clinical discipline, manager of Interprofessional Practice, and program leadership to gather information and implement any required improvements to clinical processes. Collaborate with leadership to determine program evaluation frameworks, measures and outcomes. Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or master's degree (preferred) in a related field. A minimum of five years clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions. Individuals must maintain active registration under the Health Professions Act. Must maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) and be physically able to perform all interventions. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.



Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of best practices for concurrent care and case management. Experience providing direct care delivering concurrent addictions and mental health approaches. Experience working with transient and high-risk youth is an asset. Experience in case management across multiple agencies or programs in support of high needs and complex families, children and youth. Experience fostering and maintaining community relationships, with programs such as Family Supports for Children with Disabilities, Supports for Permanency, and Children and Family Services. Experience in recovery-oriented system of care and harm reduction approaches. Training and clinical experience with the following approaches will be an asset: DBT, Safety Seeking, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy or other somatic modalities, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma and attachment-based modalities. Specialized training and/or experience in leadership, management or advanced clinical practice within the health discipline is an asset. Leadership and supervision experience is an asset.
