As AECOM seeks to fill these current positions, candidates will support archaeological efforts guided by a Field Supervisor. Responsibilities include conducting fieldwork, identifying artifacts, and adhering to strict health and safety protocols. This role also emphasizes important travel across Ontario and a commitment to Indigenous cultural sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate archaeological fieldwork under supervision • Identify Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations • Travel extensively for field operations • Train and mentor new technicians
Requirements: • High school diploma essential; relevant experience for Level II+ • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks • Timeliness and preparedness for varying weather • Reliable transportation to designated sites • Understanding of Indigenous cultural sensitivity
