Empower children’s development as an Early Years Support Worker with BGC Central Vancouver Island in Nanaimo. Provide tailored support to children with unique needs in a nurturing setting. In this part time role, you'll support the early learning program while offering individualized care to children facing developmental and behavioral challenges. Your expertise in child development will help create effective communication strategies and enhance social skills. Collaborate with families and staff to ensure every child's successful integration. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support for life and social skills
Participate in planning and documentation of Care Plans
Create a predictable structure and manage behaviors




Attend to the physical and emotional needs of children
Communicate effectively within the team and community Requirements:
ECEA Diploma or Community Support Worker Certificate preferred
Valid First Aid and CPR certification required
Experience with children needing extra support an asset
Knowledge of child development and behavior management
