Personal Counsellors report directly to the Manager of Counselling.RESPONSIBILITIESCore responsibilities for the position will include:- Provision of personal counselling to students- Provision of outreach services, including workshops, presentations, and information boothsQUALIFICATIONS- A degree at the Masters level, or greater, in Educational Counselling, or related discipline- Specific expertise and experience in counselling students in post-secondary education is preferred- Candidate must have, or be clearly eligible and willing to obtain,



the Counselling Therapist title with the College of Counselling Therapists in PEI (CCTPEI);
similar provincial licensure may be considered- The ideal candidate will possess a background working with university students in educational development and planning- Crisis response training and experience would be valuable to this position- Skills in triage and effective referrals to community resources and managing consultation with medical and psychiatric resources are essential- Experience and comfort working with a diverse student population reflecting the reality of today’s campus, including issues of culture, gender, orientation, and equity are required;
