- Actively adjust claims
- Maximize business development opportunities through timely marketing and follow-up
- Promptly contact and follow up with policyholders and claimants
- Investigate claim causes and report findings and recommendations to clients
- Use supplied technology, such as Docusketch, to scope and establish quantum of damages
- Identify exposures and recommend reserves and required investigations
- Prepare action plans and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements
- Provide high-level customer service to clients and insureds throughout the claims process
- Participate in after-hours customer service requirements when required
- Perform assigned duties in compliance with established work standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

- Completion of high school education
- University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive)
- At least 2 years' relevant experience in claims adjusting
- Must be able to immediately qualify for a level 1 SK adjuster's license
- Ongoing commitment to education and learning, preferably pursuing CIP designation
- Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics
- Ability to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents
- Ability to perform and understand advanced numerical calculations,



including comparative analysis
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating
- Ability to flex communication style appropriately to the audience
- Proactive and positive approach to customer service
- Solid interpersonal skills for handling conflict and difficult situations
