The candidate will be responsible for administering medications.
The candidate must apply aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing.
The candidate must conduct specimen collection.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring infection control.
The candidate must monitor nutritional intake.
The candidate must observe and record the therapeutic and side effects of medications.
The candidate must record medication’s therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files.
The candidate must take vital signs.
The candidate must provide technical assistance to surgeons by laying out instruments, setting up equipment, assisting surgical teams with gowns and gloves, and passing instruments to surgeons.
The candidate must provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring established respiratory and intravenous therapy.
The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
The candidate will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients within a defined scope of practise based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Job Requirements
The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be eligible for practical nurse licensure in their province/territory of work, have completed the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, and hold CPR and First Aid Certificates.
The candidate should be accurate.
