Summary The Learning Support Teacher provides leadership and coordination of inclusive education services to support students' academic, social, emotional, and cultural success. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, families, Elders, and community partners to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate supports and individualized programming. The successful candidate will implement strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded practices that reflect Sim'algya x and Gitksen values. Key

Responsibilities Lead and coordinate inclusive education services,



including the development and monitoring of IEPs and Behaviour Support Plans. Provide direct student support through small group, pull-out, and push-in instruction. Support teachers in differentiating, adapting, and modifying curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Coordinate psycho-educational assessments and collaborate with external professionals. Participate in School-Based Team meetings and case management discussions. Supervise and support Educational Assistants. Integrate culturally grounded and land-based approaches into learning support strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Ministry guidelines. Qualifications

Bachelor of Education with valid B.C. Teacher Certification. Special Education or Inclusive Education training (Diploma or Master's preferred). Level B Assessment Qualification. Experience developing and implementing IEPs and Behaviour Support Plans. Experience working with First Nations students and culturally responsive practices. Strong knowledge of the B.C. Curriculum and inclusive education frameworks. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Salary & Advantages:

GWSSS provides its employees with a competitive salary (based SD82 wage grid) dependent on category and years of experience (ie.
