This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for the position of

Terrestrial Biologist , supporting our Whitehorse team on various projects throughout western Canada. In this position, you will provide discipline leadership and collaborate with a team of project managers and biologists to provide practical solutions to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Planning and completing fieldwork related to wildlife and their habitats including ground-based and aerial surveys

Managing and analyzing data collected for a variety of wildlife programs, including quality control

Writing technical reports and other deliverables, including annual field reports,



baseline inventories, environmental assessments, wildlife monitoring and management plans, and regulatory submissions

Contributing with the development of project proposals and budgets

Preparing and supporting our clients with project assessment (YESAA) and permitting of their projects

Working effectively in a team workplace to meet project goals

Representing corporate values and EDI’s commitment to high-quality services

Participating proactively in EDI’s health and safety program

Requirements:

An undergrad degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 1 year of experience in a related discipline. Experience in consulting would be an asset.

Demonstrated experience leading field-based wildlife surveys

Demonstrated experience with technical report writing and data analysis

Registration or eligibility for registration as a RPBio or as P.Biol.
