Become a vital part of BroadGrain Commodities as a Legal Counsel, supporting our international operations in grain trading. This role offers a chance to manage critical legal work from our Toronto office.

As a Legal Counsel for approximately 12 months, you will directly report to the CEO and take a lead role in managing all legal matters. Your responsibilities will include overseeing corporate regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating contracts, and advising business divisions on legal issues encompassing various jurisdictions. Your expertise will ensure the company’s adherence to laws and support its expansive business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage corporate legal compliance in Canada and abroad
• Liaise with external legal services across multiple regions
• Review,



draft, and negotiate contracts with precision
• Counsel business units on various legal topics
• Conduct due diligence and manage corporate documentation

Requirements:
• Active member of the Law Society of Upper Canada
• At least 3 years post-call legal experience
• Solid knowledge of Canadian business law
• International law experience preferred
• Exceptional communication and drafting skills
