Chilliwack Middle School seeks a dedicated Child and Youth Care Worker to assist teachers and collaborate with students facing severe behavioral challenges. Your efforts will help instill responsible behavior while reinforcing targeted goals through observation and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for personal and social behavior improvement
• Implement behavior management programs with follow-up
• Collaborate with student support services and teachers
• Provide one-on-one support based on IEP goals
• Organize recreational programs and community engagement
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
• Over one year of experience with emotional disorders
• Valid B.C. Class 5 driver’s license
• Robust communication and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to foster patience and understanding in interactions
