Our people-centered organization focuses on skills development, relationship building, and client success. We take pride in cultivating an setting where all team members can grow, feel heard, valued, and empowered.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will act as the senior technical authority within our Interfaces & Connectivity Product Area — the team that establishes and maintains secure, reliable connectivity between SimCorp and our clients, and within SimCorp products themselves. You will own the design, security, and operational excellence of the connectivity that underpins our Azure-based SaaS platform, spanning client onboarding, external interfaces, and internal communication channels.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Own the architecture and delivery of secure external and internal connectivity (MQ, FIX, SFTP, PGP, WebAPI, VPN, NOMA), including client onboarding — VPN setup, IP whitelisting, firewall rules, and connectivity validation.
Design, configure, and maintain Azure networking components (NSGs, ASGs, VNet Peerings, Private Links, VPN connections) and internal connectivity (subnet connectivity, Gain, Coric).
Own certificate lifecycle management and secure communication protocols across Dimension-related services (OMFIX/Stunnel, WebAPI, PGP, MQ), plus firewall administration and periodic clean-ups.
Own observability for connectivity services: define and tune actionable alerts, build dashboards with Product Engineering and DevOps, and lead operational reviews.
Act as a senior escalation point for incident response, root-cause analysis, and change management related to network and interface connectivity.
Lead design workshops with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align requirements with platform capabilities, identify and scope new features, and own network diagrams, documentation, and runbooks.
Mentor and coach other engineers, drive automation and CI/CD/Infrastructure-as-Code adoption (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD), contribute technical leadership within Agile sprint delivery, and provide weekend/on-call support as needed.
WHAT WE VALUE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's is a plus), plus 7-10+ years of operational experience supporting mission-critical production systems, ideally SaaS or cloud.
Deep, extensive expertise in Azure networking: NSGs, ASGs, VNet Peering, Private Link, and VPN gateways.
Practical experience with external connectivity protocols (MQ, FIX, SFTP, PGP, WebAPI) and certificate lifecycle/secure communication protocols (e.g., Stunnel/OMFIX).
Extensive automation experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, scripting in PowerShell and Bash, and version control with Git.
Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana) and solid incident/problem management within SLA-driven environments, with strong RCA skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing workshops, translate requirements into technical solutions, and mentor other engineers as a senior individual contributor (not a people-management role).
Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension or similar investment management platforms is a strong plus; self-motivated, collaborative communicator aligned with SimCorp's values.
