Become an Expert Safeguarding Advisor with World Renew, focusing on enhancing safeguarding systems in North America. This role involves critical training, policy development, and risk management.
In this temporary position, you will lead the effort to strengthen safeguarding capacity at World Renew, focusing on preventing abuse and ensuring compliance. Collaborate with various teams to integrate effective safeguarding measures into programming and engage in community-based support initiatives. Your insights will help bolster organizational accountability and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the review and improvement of safeguarding systems
• Support staff in identifying and mitigating safeguarding risks
• Coordinate training and awareness initiatives for multiple stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with international safeguarding standards and legal frameworks
• Maintain and report on safeguarding records and resources
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Social Work, Law, or similar
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Robust knowledge of child protection and safeguarding frameworks
• Excellent training and facilitation skills
• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. legal frameworks
