Starting September 1, 2026, the ideal candidate will have strong qualifications in special education and an understanding of the Ministry of Education's assessment and teaching philosophies. Experience in collaborating on IEP development and fostering relationships with students, staff, and parents is crucial. This role focuses on creating balanced literacy and numeracy programs that effectively target individual learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create personalized balanced literacy programs for students
• Collaborate with the Student Services team on SEL initiatives
• Utilize formative assessments to adjust teaching methods
• Implement trauma-informed strategies for classroom management
• Foster a supportive environment for diverse learners
Requirements:
• Extensive academic training in special education
