This temporary contract role will have you leading fieldwork efforts related to ecological data collection and monitoring. You will coordinate project activities while ensuring health and safety compliance among the crew. Your background in biology and field leadership will be integral to conducting inventories, sampling aquatic life, and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily fieldwork and ensure worker safety
• Perform water quality and habitat data collection
• Maintain and prepare monitoring equipment
• Document findings and enter data accurately
• Conduct daily safety assessments with crew
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Biology or similar
• At least 2 years of environmental monitoring experience
• Proficient with biological sampling tools
• Excellent problem-solving and team management skills
• Solid understanding of occupational health regulations
Lead fresh initiatives in environmental monitoring at TRCA as a Crew Leader and ensure project success through your expertise.
