Operating under the Settlement and Family Support Director, this position is essential for those with a Bachelor's degree in social work or related fields and 1-2 years in a counseling role. You will be aiding clients to navigate the settlement process, enhancing their ability to achieve self-sufficiency. Knowledge of clients' primary languages is crucial for effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver essential settlement counseling to clients • Encourage self-sufficiency through support services • Communicate in clients' first languages when necessary • Work collaboratively with community organizations • Participate in training and skill development programs
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or psychology • 1-2 years of relevant counseling experience • Equivalent training and experience may apply • Familiarity with life skills training is preferred • Focus on supporting diverse immigrant populations
