Be a part of Shuswap Middle School as a French Immersion Grade 6 Teacher from September 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Your bilingual skills will empower students.

This temporary teaching role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Arts with a major in French Immersion. Candidates must be fully bilingual and experienced in middle school teaching practices. You will be expected to create an engaging workplace that highlights Francophone culture and meets the needs of all students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement engaging Grade 6 French immersion lessons
• Integrate effective instructional strategies and assessments
• Work collaboratively with grade level and French Immersion teams




• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
• Encourage active French language use in daily activities

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in French Immersion Education
• Valid BC teaching certification
• Proven teaching experience with middle school age groups
• French and English bilingual proficiency
• Ability to support adolescent development in classroom
