Join Wilfrid Laurier University as a Co-op Consultant, where you will manage co-op employment opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area. This full-time position focuses on enhancing student career readiness through employer partnerships.
As a pivotal member of the Experiential Learning team, you will work closely with employers and students, aligning co-op job placements while ensuring satisfaction for all parties involved. You'll conduct 350-400 visits annually and develop meaningful relationships with over 2,500 employers, emphasizing equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout your interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop co-op positions aligned with departmental goals
• Conduct development calls and employer meetings
• Track and update recruiting databases for employer engagement
• Guide students on preparing resumes and job applications
• Conduct work term visits to monitor quality and satisfaction
Requirements:
• Minimum undergraduate degree and three years of experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of job development strategies
• Solid interpersonal skills for employer relations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Flexibility to travel and work outside regular hours
