Join the North End Community Health Centre as a Managed Alcohol Program Support Worker, dedicated to harm reduction and community support. Help individuals with severe alcohol use disorder regain stability through compassionate outreach.
In this role, you will engage with clients who face social and physical challenges due to chronic alcohol use and homelessness. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the Support Worker provides essential outreach services across diverse settings year-round. Your knowledge of harm reduction will be crucial in making a meaningful impact on the lives of those served by the Managed Alcohol Program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach in homes, shelters, and other community spaces
• Engage in assessments and support tailored client needs
• Work collaboratively with community service providers
• Address social determinants of health affecting clients
• Maintain healthy boundaries and ethical decision-making
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a relevant community role
• Familiarity with harm reduction approaches
• Robust problem-solving and time management skills
• Educational background in health or human services preferred
• Valued commitment to diversity and inclusion
