Enhance psychosocial support for oncology patients at Allan Blair Cancer Centre. The part time Clinical Oncology Social Worker will provide vital counseling and clinical interventions in Regina.
Reporting to the Provincial or Site Leader of Supportive Care, your role focuses on clinical assessment and the delivery of direct psychosocial support to patients and families. You will also play an active role in educational initiatives within the supportive care department, applying an interdisciplinary framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct clinical assessments and psychosocial consultations
• Offer counseling and treatment interventions for patients
• Facilitate educational programs for patients and staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care
• Establish supportive relationships focused on goal setting
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or similar field
• Three years of relevant counseling experience
• Membership with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
• Familiarity with patient care in oncology settings
• Valid driver's license for local engagements
