Lead and inspire as the Indigenous Student Advisor at Timmins High and Vocational School, focusing on First Nation, Metis, and Inuit student support. The role is permanent and dedicated to enhancing student learning.

In this position, you will implement programs and services designed to meet the specific needs of Indigenous students from grades 9 to 12. Reporting directly to the school's administrative team and the Indigenous Lead Administrator, you will establish relationships with students, families, and communities to remove barriers to success. Your work will foster a robust sense of belonging and access to vital resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create supportive relationships with students and communities
• Identify and mitigate barriers to student achievement




• Guide individualized support based on student strengths
• Maintain communication with families and cultural supports
• Develop community partnerships to enhance cultural activities

Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma and/or experience
• Post-secondary education is an asset
• Valid driver's license required
• Knowledge of cultural teachings required
• Experience with Indigenous cultural practices
