Empower young adults as a Youth Worker with Coast Mental Health, where you will engage in hands-on support and advocacy. This full-time role focuses on mental wellness and community connections.
As a Youth Worker, you will provide comprehensive support to young adults aged 19 to 32, working closely with the Young Adults Program Manager. Your role includes implementing therapeutic programs, managing cases, and facilitating community outings while establishing trusting relationships with clients. Your skills will directly enhance the lives of those facing barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support life skills and self-care strategies for clients
• Facilitate community engagement and access to services
• Advocate for client dignity and rights
• Maintain program logs and develop wellness initiatives
• Coordinate with other service providers for effective support
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service Certificate
• 2+ years of related experience preferred
• Understanding of mental health and recovery practices
• Solid rapport-building and problem-solving abilities
• Criminal record check required for employment
