Karis Disability Services is seeking a Casual Direct Support Skilled to assist individuals in Peel. This role involves offering comprehensive support, including medical and behavioral assistance in various settings.
Ideal candidates will hold a DSW, SSW, or CYS diploma and possess experience in Supported Independent Living and Community Participation. You will support individuals, including those who do not communicate verbally and those with Autism and FASD, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical and behavioral assistance to clients
• Assist individuals in Supported Independent Living settings
• Engage in Community Participation Supports activities
• Offer support to clients in challenging situations
• Perform personal care duties professionally
Requirements:
• DSW, SSW, or CYS Diploma necessary
• Current G Driver's License
• Valid NVCI certification required
• First Aid/CPR training important
• Experience with diverse client needs required
