As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will engage with residents 18 years and older, providing essential behavior and symptom support. Collaborate effectively with the Resident Care Manager, Social Worker, and Occupational Therapist to encourage residents’ psycho-social recovery and social integration through a strength-based approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Resident Care Manager and team members
• Support residents’ behavior and symptom management
• Enhance overall well-being through strength-based methods
• Facilitate residents’ community reintegration and problem-solving
• Monitor and report any unsafe behaviors in the facility
Requirements:
• Valid Diploma/Certificate in Mental Health or related areas
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust
• Effective collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
• A passion for serving seniors with compassion
• Prior experience in mental health preferred
