Join Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services as a Counsellor/Therapist dedicated to supporting Toronto’s vulnerable populations. Your role will focus on providing culturally sensitive care and assistance.
In this position, you will engage in an interdisciplinary team, offering both brief and comprehensive counseling services to assist immigrants, refugees, and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals. Your responsibilities will include case management, assessment, and advocacy to ensure health outcomes are achieved with dignity. Establishing robust community links will be essential in addressing the specific needs of diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trauma-informed brief and long-term counseling
• Oversee client care coordination and referrals
• Engage with community organizations for service support
• Participate in interdisciplinary team activities
• Implement quality assurance measures
Requirements:
• Master's degree in social work required
• At least 3 years of counseling experience
• Proficient in health promotion therapeutic approaches
• Exceptional crisis intervention and facilitation skills
• Flexibility for travel and varied work hours
