Take on a pivotal role as a Senior DER Planning Engineer at FortisAlberta. You will manage critical projects and offer technical guidance for customer connections to our power system.

In this position, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate DER interconnection processes under the guidance of the Senior Lead Engineer. Additional responsibilities involve supporting distribution projects, analyzing system loads, and leading special projects like CVR and DVM initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop electrical distribution system models for various projects
• Resolve inquiries from DER customers effectively
• Conduct distribution system analyses for potential deficiencies




• Support demand transmission services and scheduling
• Contribute to developing technical training programs

Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• At least 5 years' experience in power distribution
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred
• Solid computer skills in related engineering applications
• Ability to travel as needed within Alberta
